Bryan Ippel, Custodial Services, received the University Staff Appreciation Award for September 2025.
The individual nominating him stated, "Bryan is committed to keeping our Sports & Fitness Center clean and presentable to our athletes and their spectators.
"He has done a great job maintaining the shower facilities to ensure our athletes and staff have a clean and functional place to shower. Bryan takes great pride in his work and has a genuine desire to provide our athletes with the best facilities he can. I think Bryan is a great candidate to win this award. His pride in his work and understanding of who the customer is make him a great asset to our custodial department."
Each employee of the month receives a certificate of recognition and a gift presented by Chancellor Katherine Frank. The award, in its 21st year, was established by the Chancellor鈥檚 Office and is co-sponsored by the University Staff Senate.
