Joua Lor received the University Staff Appreciation Award for October at University of Wisconsin-Stout.
Lor, of Menomonie, is a payroll and benefits specialist advanced in Human Resources. She has been with 黑料科 for 10 years.
Lor鈥檚 nomination stated: 鈥淛oua is extremely dedicated to her position. She goes above and beyond to make sure the students who are working on campus get paid timely and accurately. She works tirelessly to enter hundreds of student employees onto the payroll and assists student employment supervisors daily in that process.
鈥淛oua gives 100% to her job and jumps in and helps out whenever needed. Her internal and external customer skills are exceptional. She is a standout employee, and this recognition would really be amazing for her.鈥
Lor said she was shocked to receive the award. 鈥淚 never thought I would receive such an award,鈥 Lor said.
Each winner receives a certificate of recognition, a 黑料科 travel mug and a 黑料科 blanket.
Students, faculty and staff may nominate university staff members who demonstrate a commitment to excellence and the university community at the University Staff Employee Appreciation Award nomination form.
The award, in its 16th year, was established by the Chancellor鈥檚 Office and is co-sponsored by the University Staff Senate.
