Jackie Riley received the University Staff Appreciation Award for January 2025.
Riley is the College of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Management administrative assistant. The individual nominating her stated, "Jackie has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the university through her proactive approach, dedication to excellence, and willingness to go above and beyond in her role.
"Whether it鈥檚 supporting students, collaborating with colleagues, or streamlining program-supporting operations, Jackie takes initiative in ensuring that the university鈥檚 values and mission are upheld in every task she undertakes. Her attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to find solutions to challenges have made a tangible impact on the university community.
"As the longest-serving member of the CSTEMM group, she not only excels in fulfilling her own responsibilities but also takes the initiative to train new hires, ensuring they are well-prepared and confident in their roles. Each employee of the month receives a certificate of recognition and a gift presented by Chancellor Katherine Frank. The award, in its 20th year, was established by the Chancellor鈥檚 Office and is co-sponsored by the University Staff Senate.
